Our Self Guided Unique Snack Tour of Joo Chait

A Taste of Joo Chait

It is an area steeped in history and some of these buildings and business’ have been in the family since the early 1920’s.

We wanted to see what all the fuss was about so armed with an information pamphlet, we set out to discover what was in our area.

Amazing Architecture

The streets are lined with restored buildings which are now heritage protected.  They are pretty amazing, brightly coloured and put an a stunning display.

Nothing like a good food crawl

We went from shop to shop, some had moved, changed or closed up but we managed to cover off six out of nine on the list of places to visit.  It was interesting to learn about the history and which ones were iconic to the area.

Our stomachs were full and we had quite a sweat on by the time we had finished.  It gets to the hottest part of the day around 2-3pm and we were feeling the 34 degree heat.

It was a great day out but it was time to head for home.

Enjoy the video below for the highlights.
